Zoom Out Instead...

What if you could stop overreacting and

Zoom Out Intsead...

Imagine how much abundance

would start to flow into your life!

Have you ever found yourself overreacting to another person's comments or behavior, only to regret it and wish that you had been able to Zoom Out Instead? I have... oh if I had only taken a wider view... oh for a "do over..."

Unfortunately, overreacting is quite easy to do, so I'm recommending that you Zoom Out Instead... take a breath, pause, look at the bigger picture before responding or reacting. Unfortunately, overreacting becomes our first choice, especially when we're tired, feeling oversensitive, feeling unappreciated, or just plain overwhelmed. We rarely take the time or opportunity to Zoom Out... we just react right in the moment, and regret it later.

Sometimes this is the cause for drama in our lives - we're the ones who aren't taking a breath, even though we prefer to blame the other person for the drama in our lives. Wouldn't it be nice to drop the drama and choose peace instead? Well, it's possible - as long as we have some tools to slow down our immediate reactions. Remember the old fashioned "count to ten" advice? This recommendation is similar. If you could Zoom Out Instead... you would essentially buy yourself some time and more importantly, put some distance between you and your knee jerk reactions that feel urgent in the moment.

This doesn't mean that the other person (and their email or behavior) doesn't deserve a reaction from you - but I can assure you that if you slow it down by committing to Zoom Out Instead, your reaction or email response will be far more effective, level headed, and useful for everyone.

So my invitation in this newsletter is for you to choose to Zoom Out Instead of overreacting. It will benefit you as well as anyone on the other end of your interactions.

Some of you will need to tap on your emotional overwhelm to get clear enough to make this choice. Some of you will need to tap on your exhaustion in order to have enough space to remember to Zoom Out Instead... others of you will need to tap on your feelings about being unappreciated.

There are nothing but advantages and positive consequences when you Zoom Out Instead. You will think more clearly, be more creative in your responses, you'll avoid hurting someone else, and benefit enormously from the energy of taking the wider view. Start feeling inspired to Zoom Out Instead and enjoy the abundance that comes into your life.

Remember that our thoughts are real

and carry energy...

Our vibration matters!

Remember that the Universe hears your vibration not your words. The principles of the Law of Attraction remind us that we will receive more of what we are "broadcasting" to the Universe. If you start raising your vibration by feeling optimistic, joyful, appreciative and grateful, abundance is sure to follow. When the Universe is able to receive a clear signal or message from you - (no energetic interference from your attitudes) then the Law of Attraction starts to work in your favor.

1. EFT SETUP PHRASES:

The EFT SETUP Phrases for this topic are as follows:

While tapping the karate chop spot on either hand, repeat these phrases out loud, (or change the words to fit your exact situation).

"Even though I'm too tired to Zoom Out before I react, I deeply and completely accept myself anyway."

"Even though I don't have the time to slow down and Zoom Out Instead, I accept who I am and how I feel."

"Even though I don't feel in control of my emotions enough to Zoom Out Instead, I deeply and completely accept myself anyway."

I have indicated where to tap while saying each of the phrases below. You may repeat the positive round more than once if you wish. (If you are new to EFT please view a chart of the spots on my web site under the EFT pages.)

***Now for the phrases that focus on the problem***

Eyebrow: "I'm too overwhelmed to Zoom Out Instead."

Side of Eye: "I'm not sure it's a good idea to Zoom Out Instead."

Under Eye: "I don't know how to Zoom Out Instead."

Nose: "I'm not sure how to slow down enough to Zoom Out Instead..."

Chin: "I have too much to do to Zoom Out Instead."

Collarbone: "No one else is taking the time to do this, why should I?"

Under Arm: "I'm too irritated to Zoom Out Instead."

Head: "I don't feel very inspired to Zoom Out Instead of reacting."

***Now for the positive focus on the solution***

Eyebrow: "What if I started to Zoom Out Instead of reacting."

Side of Eye: "Maybe I'd enjoy life more if I learned to Zoom Out Instead."

Under Eye: "I want to want to Zoom Out Instead of reacting."

Nose: "I want to enjoy Zooming Out Instead of reacting."

Chin: "I want to feel inspired to Zoom Out Instead."

Collarbone: "I'm ready and willing to Zoom Out Instead."

Under Arm: "I choose to feel inspired to Zoom Out Instead."

Head: "I choose to love myself and others enough to Zoom Out Instead."

Access more positive vibrations with the Law of Attraction by repeating the following phrases (while tapping or not):

Hi Everyone!

WELCOME to all of our new subscribers, this week! We truly
appreciate you! "Trade Journal Subscribers ROCK!"

I've never been a bird person. So, I don't know why the universe
has deemed it necessary for me to be surrounded by them for the
past few years.

First, there was E.T. My son lived with me when his breeder
cockatiels hatched a clutch that wasn't making it. Only one
survived more than a couple of days.

So, at nine-days-old, we took E.T. out of the nest, put him in
an incubator and started hand-feeding him. When he wasn't in the
incubator, E.T. was sleeping in my lap while I worked.

E.T. Stands for "Extraterrestrial" - which is what he looked
like when he was tiny. You know the rest. Nine years later, he
rules my life and home.

Then, in 2004, I moved to this little lake and adopted the ducks
living on it. The bottom line of what I've learned is that all
creatures have consciousness.

I've always known that about dogs and cats but never thought
about it with other critters. I'm not going to sit here and try
to tell you that ducks are overly intelligent because, as a
general rule, they aren't - or the predators wouldn't get them
so easily. But, some of them just blow me away with the things
they do.

I saw Leroy actually grieve for Dora when a predator got her. He
called to her and searched for her for over a month.

"Tink" (amended from "Tinkerbell" when I first thought he was a
female) is the little crippled duck. He was the first of
Adorable Dora's babies to eat from my hand.

"Little Kate" is the smallest of Dora's babies and the only
female we had left before I bought 10 new females a few weeks
ago. She also eats from my hand. Not all of them do.

They never cease to amaze me. Tink and Little Kate have fallen
in love. They are both gray and white and Kate looks like a
smaller version of Tink.

Tink has always come to me when I call him. He's one of the few
who do. He knows treats are coming. But, lately, he's sometimes
a bit slower getting over here.

If Kate is near him, as she usually is, they both come. If she's
off doing something else, Tink goes and gets her when I call
before he comes to me. I've seen him swim halfway down the lake
to get her – then, head over to me. He always knows exactly
where she is.

If he's out there on the bank by himself, Tink eats from my hand
as always. But, when he brings Kate, he hangs back a little and
let's her eat from my hand – while he picks up what I toss to
him. He takes good care of his woman.

Even when they are with a larger group, the two of them are
always side-by-side. And, the rest of the boys seem to be okay
with it. I saw the largest drake, Cody (who has turned into a
big bully) head toward Kate once, and little, crippled Tink took
him right out. Amazing.

They grieve, they love (shown by the grieving), they look after
each other, they "decide." If that isn't consciousness, I don't
know what is.

I got a TON of email after last week's newsletter. Thanks so
much to all of you who wrote to help me with my computer issues!
I'm back on track, now!

I also had a couple of people ask me to comment on the new study
that claims Conservatives have a lower I.Q. than Liberals. (I
assume they meant for the "Just Sayin'..." newsletter.)

So, let me be very clear ... There's ain't NO WAY I'm getting
sucked into that one! So, just don't poke at me about it!

Going back to the birds for a moment. We'll never know what
they are thinking. Just take a look at this:

Before You Join the Zurker Project

You're most likely going to hear about this new social network
web site – if you haven't already. So, allow me to point you
toward some information you should review before joining.

The site is zurker.com. You can't get in yet without a specific
link:

However, I am NOT suggesting you join. Although, it's your call.

With this site, you earn (with sign-ups) or buy, "v-shares" in
this company. Of course, the shares are meaningless right now
but you are told they may make you rich in the future. Sounds
like a great idea, right?

When I received the link, the first thing I did was try to find
out who owns the web site. A whois search turned up information
that's WhoisGuard Protected.

That, of course raised all my red flags! WHY is this information
hidden? So, I put the WhoisGuard number in Google. Here it is:

The first time I did this, I found all kinds of posts mentioning
heavy-duty spammers/hackers. Now, I can't seem to find that info
– and I don't understand why it disappeared! (Maybe the guy
bought a Google Ad.)

I can't bring up anything in the other search engines with that
number – not even BING.

Next, I went to the site using the link I was sent. I clicked on
"Owners" at the bottom.

The top member name is, apparently, the developer of this site:

http://www.zurker.com/cineman

Based on things I did find in Google, I believe this guy is
either located in Uzbekistan, or came from there. He may be in
the USA, now. But, how would we know? Their IP number is in
Florida, but that doesn't really mean anything.

Under his "Associations" one appears to be a paint ball game –
the next is the UWED (University of World Economy and Diplomacy
(Uzbekistan) – and the third is VGIK (a film school in Moscow:
The Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography).

I found that interesting mostly based on the (now disappeared)
information regarding spamming/hacking from their WhoisGuard
number. Russia is the TOP country for hackers.

I don't mean to make someone guilty by association, BUT ...

All I'm saying is – be SURE to do your DUE DILIGENCE before
joining this project. Me? I wouldn't put so much as one piece of
information on that web site!

But, again – your call.

Leaving You With a Smile

"Memory"

An 80-year-old couple was having problems remembering things, so
they decided to go to their doctor to get checked out to make
sure nothing was wrong with them.

When they arrived at the doctors, they explained to the doctor
about the problems they were having with their memory. After
checking the couple out, the doctor told them that they were
physically okay but might want to start writing things down and
make notes to help them remember things. The couple thanked the
doctor and left.

Later that night while watching TV, the man got up from his
chair and his wife asked, "Where are you going?"

He replied, "To the kitchen."

She asked, "Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?"

He replied, "Sure."

She then asked him, "Don't you think you should write it down so
you can remember it?"

He said, "No, I can remember that."

Then, she said, "Well I would also like some strawberries on top.
You had better write that down because I know you'll forget
that."

He said, "I can remember that; you want a bowl of ice cream with
strawberries."

She replied, "Well I also would like whipped cream on top. I
know you will forget that so you better write it down."

With irritation in his voice, he said, "I don't need to write
that down! I can remember that." He then fumes into the kitchen.

After about 20 minutes he returned from the kitchen and handed
her a plate of bacon and eggs. She stared at the plate for a
moment and said angrily:

"I TOLD you to write it down! You forgot my toast!"

Offer Your Best You...

What if you felt inspired to

Offer Your Best You?

Imagine how much abundance

would start to flow into your life!

The first question to ask yourself is: "What is your BEST you?" What are your best qualities, your best attributes, who are you when you know you are at your best? I recommend that you write a list of your favorite characteristics - is it your humor, your patience, your kindness or your loyalty? It's important to remind ourselves of our best characteristics regularly.

And the second question to ask yourself is: "Why aren't you Offering Your Best You right now?" (And if you already are, then congratulations!) There are so many answers to the question "why" you aren't Offering Your Best You right now. The most common reasons in my life or that I hear from workshop participants are found in the following list:

1) I'm too busy

2) I'm overwhelmed

3) No one will notice, so why bother?

4) I forgot...

5) No one else is being their Best Self... why should I?

6) I'm not sure what it is...

Do any of these reasons/excuses sound familiar to you? They are just that - excuses for robbing the world of your shiniest parts, your smartest insights and your most enjoyable humor.

I'm suggesting you no longer hide Your Best You from the rest of us - we need Your Best You that you can offer - it will be beneficial for all of us!

The good news is that when you get distracted from what matters most in your life, you have tools to get you back on track and being present. When you're overwhelmed, you can tap until you feel settled and focused again. When you're just too busy to offer the world Your Best You, you can make the decision right now to start offering it again. When you don't think it's "worth it" you can tap until you know how truly worth it Offering Your Best You is for all of us.

First you need to be able to identify what excuses you have been using that prevent you from Offering Your Best You. If any of the reasons on my list above don't ring true to you, keep searching for the particular reasons you aren't Offering Your Best You. Maybe it never occurred to you that it would be good for the world energetically to Offer Your Best You. Maybe you're convinced that everyone else is too busy so they won't care. Once you've identified why you aren't Offering Your Best You, you need identify what attributes would define you at your best, and choose to be that way, act that way, interact that way right now.

When you Offer Your Best You, you'll

reduce resistance AND raise your vibration...

which will open your energetic

door to abundance.

There are nothing but advantages and positive consequences for you and the rest of us when you start to Offer Your Best You... The most important advantage is that it raises everyone's vibration, and when you are in that space of the "best you" you are able to easily allow abundance into your life! Another advantage is that it's wonderful to be around people who are offering their best selves... it's great energy! As a matter of fact, I can't think of a single "downside" to making the effort to do this.... IF and only IF you want more abundance to flow into your life. So start feeling inspired to Offer Your Best You to yourself and the rest of us.

Remember that our thoughts are real

and carry energy...

Our vibration matters!

An important distinction to make is that the Universe hears your vibration not your words. The principles of the Law of Attraction remind us that we will receive more of what we are "broadcasting" to the Universe when we are in alignment with it. If you start raising your vibration by feeling optimistic, joyful, appreciative and grateful, abundance is sure to follow. When the Universe is able to receive a clear signal or message from you - (no energetic interference from your attitudes) then the Law of Attraction starts to work in your favor.

Hi Everyone!

WELCOME to all of our new subscribers, this week! We truly
appreciate you! "Trade Journal Subscribers ROCK!"

Boy, it's a good thing I'm flexible! After I told you I would
be going to a bi-weekly publishing schedule with both my
newsletters (OBTJ and "Just Sayin'..."), a bunch of you
apparently DID decide you can't live without me every week. <G>

The "Just Sayin'..." subscriber list jumped way up! I
appreciate that.

Others of you on the OBTJ list simply complained. That's okay,
too – in fact, I encourage it. I don't know what you're thinking
if you don't tell me.

So, here's the deal .. I'm having a hard time with "Just
Sayin'..." anyway. As I told last week's readers, everything in
the political news seems to revolve around the Republican
Primaries – and will for the next several months.

Since I'm sick of that circus – and don't find it funny anymore,
I'll go to an "as needed" publishing schedule on that one. When
there's something to write about, I'll write. On all other
weeks, I'll continue with OBTJ.

Hopefully, that will keep everyone happy AND give me a little
more enthusiasm when I DO write "Just Sayin'..." Okey-dokey?

On the Lake Front

E.T. (my pet cockatiel) has had a spell of wanting to stay in
his cage the past few days. Every time I try to take him out, he
threatens me by poking at me with his beak.

That doesn't mean, "I'm going to bite you," - it just means,
"Leave me alone." So, I have.

He's starting to moult so, maybe, he's a bit uncomfortable. He
gets that way. He doesn't seem to be sick, though. He happily
plays in there all day long.

I have to admit, my day is a lot less stressful with the little
bugger in his cage than out tearing around the house. I just
hope he doesn't forget his potty training while he's in there!

We've finally welcomed 10 new female ducks into our midst!
Being down to one female with 11 drakes, I was pulling my hair
out over Little Kate's imminent death with the advent of
breeding season. It took weeks, and multiple newspaper ads, to
replenish the flock.

The new girls are settling in nicely. It's fun to watch them all
out there deciding how they're going to pair up. "The Boys" (the
two mallards) are in 7th heaven. For the first time, there are a
couple of girls who actually like them! I've never seen that
before.

Gee, now that I think of it, a few things have resolved
themselves the past couple of weeks. I FINALLY got my old
computer back from the repair shop. And, all I had to do was go
down there and stand over the guy for a couple of days.

He finally backed up my needed files to a flash drive. With any
luck, I'll have everything transferred to the new computer this
weekend. Let us pray!

So far, I only have a couple of headaches with the new Samsung.
It came with two programs that are seriously invasive and
proprietary.

MS Word Starter contains versions of both Word and Excel – and I
hate them both. I was used to Word 2003 and this 2010 seems
overly complicated to me. So, my solution was to download Open
Office – which I like better since I can save documents in .pdf
format, anyway.

Only problem is, every time I save an Open Office file, the next
time it opens it opens in MS Word! What the hell! A ROYAL PITA
and I can't find any way around it.

The second interference is from Norton. The computer came with
Norton's Internet Security loaded on it for 60 days. Well, I
don't want it! But, I can't seem to find a way to uninstall it.

I know it will disable itself after 60 days, but that doesn't
get rid of it. It could still interfere with the AVG I want to
use.

I wish I had some words of wisdom to help you get around these
problems when buying a new computer. But, I don't. I guess it's
just one of life's little problems we were meant to struggle
with! UGH!

Dave Harnish is a long-standing, and cherished, member of our
organization - Chamber of Commerce - on the Web(TM). Dave writes
a monthly newsletter for those who wish to do their own
appliance repair.

Dave was a professional appliance repair technician for nearly
40 years. He says 80% of his daily jobs were simple fixes you
could do yourself. He gets a real kick out of sharing his
insider and trade secrets in his newsletter.

Give it a shot and subscribe at his web site. I learned
something in my very first issue – like what dishwasher
detergent to use to actually get dishes clean since they removed
the phosphates!

"Grandma's Day in Court"

Lawyers should never ask a Mississippi grandma a question if
they aren't prepared for the answer. In a trial, a Southern
small-town prosecuting attorney called his first witness, a
grandmotherly, elderly woman to the stand.

He approached her and asked, "Mrs. Jones, do you know me?"

She responded, "Why, yes, I do know you, William. I've known you
since you were a young boy, and frankly, you've been a big
disappointment to me. You lie, you cheat on your wife, and you
manipulate people and talk about them behind their backs. You
think you're a big shot when you haven't the brains to realize
you never will amount to anything more than a two-bit paper
pusher. Yes, I know you."

The lawyer was stunned! Not knowing what else to do, he pointed
across the room and asked, "Mrs. Jones, do you know the defense
attorney?"

She again replied, "Why, yes, I do. I've known Bradley since he
was a youngster, too. He's lazy, bigoted, and he has a drinking
problem. He can't build a normal relationship with anyone and
his law practice is one of the worst in the entire state. Not to
mention he cheated on his wife with three different women. One
of them was your wife. Yes, I know him."

The defense attorney almost died.

The judge asked both counselors to approach the bench and, in a
very quiet voice said, "If either of you idiots asks her if she
knows me, I'll send you to the electric chair."

BE Abundant Now...

What if you felt inspired to

BE Abundant Now?

Imagine how much abundance

would start to flow into your life!

Attracting abundance into your life is not a mystery or fluke. Attracting abundance is a direct result of the vibration you are putting out to the Universe. Most of us have been putting out either a mixed vibration or a negative vibration, and then we wonder why we don't get much abundance in return. In order to attract abundance into our lives, we need to BE Abundant Now.

All abundant people have several things in common - and the most important one is that they have all developed abundant habits in their thinking, their talking and in their behavior. Are you living an abundant life? If not, it's time to look at your daily habits so you can start to Be Abundant Now.

The good news is that no matter how many of our daily habits have come from a poverty consciousness or belief in scarcity, we can all start changing those habits in little ways and Be Abundant Now. All we need is the desire and some directions on how to do it...

So to start with, do you have the desire to attract more abundance into your life? If the answer is yes, then you'll definitely need to develop more abundant habits. (If the answer was no, I invite you to do more tapping exercises on clearing your fears and blocks to attracting abundance.)

First you need to be able to identify what habits you have been using that block your abundance - then you can identify and adopt habits that ARE abundant. Where do we find our habits that either reflect scarcity or abundance? We find them showing up in our thoughts, words, and behaviors.

Abundant Thoughts/ Attitudes:

Attitudes that you may notice that are not abundant include attitudes of scarcity, poverty, unworthiness, inadequacy and attitudes that exude energies such as, "they always win" and "why bother, it'll never work for me." Once you identify that these are the non-abundant attitudes you carry around and exude in your life, you can replace them with new abundant attitudes such as:

"Things always have a way of working out for the best..."

"Life has a way of working out for me..."

"I love waiting for what the Universe has in store for me..."

"There is a bigger and better plan I can't see yet..."

Abundant Words:

Do you ever find yourself saying to another person: "I can't..." or "It'll never work for me..." or "They're the lucky ones..." ? Watch and listen to what you say and notice the negative habits you need to change. Then swap these tendencies out for more positive wording such as:

"Maybe it will work out for me..."

"What if it's all going in the right direction..."

"Maybe there's a surprise in store for me that I can't see yet..."

Abundant Behaviors:

And here are some behaviors you'll need to change: Do you always order the cheapest meal on the menu and then walk out dissatisfied after dinner? Do you go broke on sales and never really get what you want? Do you contstantly act as if you can't afford anything, when you really could afford to purchase what you want if you could release your poverty consciousness? Start changing your behaviors to more abundant ones:

Treat yourself to a tiny luxury once in a while...

Act abundantly in how you treat yourself every day...

Be abundant by being more generous with others...

Be abundant by offering help to neighbors and friends...

If you change your thoughts, your words and your behaviors to ones of abundance, you will naturally and inevitably attract more abundance into your life.

When we start BEING Abundant, we instantly

reduce resistance AND raise our vibration...

which means that we are opening

the energetic door to abundance.

Hi Everyone!

WELCOME to all of our new subscribers, this week! We truly
appreciate you! "Trade Journal Subscribers ROCK!"

Well, I've decided it's in my own best interests not to create a
need for the men in the white coats to come and get me any time
soon. Therefore, an adjustment in my schedule is going to be
necessary.

It's taken me months to realize that two weekly newsletters are
crazy-making. I'm sure I could write an article a day if I were
so inclined. But, I'm not. I have too many more interesting
things to do - like play outside in this gorgeous 70+ degree
weather.

The solution is to put both newsletters on a bi-weekly schedule.
I'll write one each week - alternating weeks between the OBTJ
and "Just Sayin'…" If you think you simply can't live without
hearing from me every week, you'll need to be sure you're
subscribed to both.

As an aside ... if you aren't already subscribed to "Just
Sayin'…" be careful with that since, if you aren't already
fairly awake to what's happening in the world, there's a good
chance it could piss you off.

I have no plans to change the formats of either newsletter.
I've been writing OBTJ (or its predecessors) for 13 years and it
needs to stay as it is. "Just Sayin'…" is just one article for
each issue and sometimes links(s) to others I didn't write.

Without the pressure of having to publish twice a week, I'm
hoping I'll be able to go back to doing more of the story
telling I know you enjoy for OBTJ. Hopefully, the quality of
both publications will go up when I can give each more
attention.

This week's "Online News" column is a bit different. However,
it does affect - or, should - every person who uses a computer
or any electronic device.

Business News

Apparently, this story was run on CNN back in 2010. However, I
haven't watched CNN since the last presidential election. I got
sick and tired of it and decided I'll live a better life if I
never have to hear Wolf Blitzer's voice again.

I picked up the story last week due to new information, and I
couldn't possibly be more appalled! I must be horribly naïve
because when I hear of things like this going on in the world,
the shock of it nearly makes me physically ill!

Foxconn is the single largest private employer in mainland
China. It's a Chinese gadget manufacturer and Apple's supplier.
This is a huge company with one million employees. The
facility has hospitals, a fire station and restaurants. They
manufacture: motherboards, camera components, MP3 players,
iPhones, iPads and nearly every electronic gadget we use.

The employees:

Live at the facility and do not see their families

Bunk in barracks-like rooms with seven other employees

Often work 35 hours at a stretch

Make 31 CENTS per hour - which is a is considered a good wage

Get 12 years in prison if they even mention unionizing

Recently threatened mass suicide if conditions aren't improved

In the past year, 11 employees have committed suicide by jumping
from the buildings. Foxconn's solution for the suicide problem
is to hang nets from every building, thereby breaking the falls!

Nearly every time we buy an electronic in the USA, we are
contributing to this situation! It's EVERY time if we buy from
Apple! Steve Jobs has practically been canonized since his death,
yet this is the situation he instituted for Apple.

With our ridiculous and glutinous appetite for electronics, are
we going to stop buying them due to this abomination? I'd love
to think we would. But, we won't.

If Foxconn were to implement humane conditions, it's estimated
that our electronics would cost us 23% more. Now, I don't know
about you, but $615 instead of $500 for an iPad seems a small
price to pay to keep human beings from this kind of treatment.

But, that won't happen, either. In fact, I suspect the price
increase would be MUCH more. This is how Jobs got to be
billionaire - with the people making his products making 31
cents per hour while he sold them for hundreds of dollars!

The only way to solve this problem is to remove the tax breaks
our U.S. corporations receive for taking their manufacturing to
China and make them bring those jobs home!

I realize we can't control what China does to its citizens.
But, we don't have to be a party to it! And, we ARE!

Leaving You With a Smile

"Business in D.C."

Three contractors are bidding to fix the White House fence: one
from Chicago, another from Dallas, and the third from Fort
Lauderdale. They go with a White House official to examine the
fence.

The Fort Lauderdale contractor takes out a tape measure and does
some measuring, then gets out his calculator, punches in some
numbers and says, "Well, I figure the job will run about $900:
$400 for material, $400 for my crew, and $100 profit for me."

The Dallas contractor steps up, takes some measurements, does
some figuring, then says, "I can do this job for $700: $300 for
materials, $300 for my crew and $100 profit for me."

The Chicago contractor doesn't measure or figure, but leans over
to the White House official and whispers, "$2,700."

The official says, "You didn't even measure like the other guys!
How did you come up with such a high figure?"

"Easy," the Chicagoan explains. "$1,000 for you, $1,000 for me,
and we hire the guy from Dallas."

Hi Everyone!

WELCOME to all of our new subscribers, this week! We truly
appreciate you! "Trade Journal Subscribers ROCK!"

Still flying by the seat of my pants while I wait for the
computer repair shop to finish with the old computer. I still
don't know what, if anything, will be recovered.

If you're not hearing from me personally, and you think you
should be, it's most likely that I'm without your email address.
Yes, I have the list from Mail-List, but they don't store
names, so I can't always tell what belongs to who.

I want to thank everyone who sent me favorite jokes to use, last
week. Good show on that! And speaking of that ...

I got an email from my ol' buddy, Jan Tallant who, after reading
last week's joke, wrote, "I am not a redneck coz I know potted
meat on a saltine is NOT an hors d'oeuvre. It needs to be on a
Ritz!" Cracked me up!

Computer frustrations aside, I've been frantically trying to
buy some adult female ducks before breeding season begins. I've
called every feed store and posted to every possible web site,
such as Craig's List, and only been able to come up with some
flying mallards.

Buying something that's simply going to fly back home doesn't
strike me as the smartest plan. So, now, I'm running an ad in
the newspaper. So far, not a single response!

If it were possible, I'd just catch Little Kate (the one lone
female in that flock of drakes) and one of the drakes and put
her somewhere safe with him. But, although they'll eat from my
hand, the second I start to reach for them, they move out of my
reach fast!

I can buy ducks online - but all I can find are babies. No
help. I'm open to ideas!

Leaving You With a Smile

Last week, I asked readers for their 2012 predictions. I loved
this one!

1 - Politicians will do what they do best:

Act like nasty children, point their dirty little fingers at
each other, thump their chests like "me big, me rich, you
nothing" Gorillas, lying their (_Y_)es off and make us wonder,
again, what dark and insane corner humanity is heading for with
leaders like that.

2 - They economy is looking up! Yay!:

It's a great time to get ripped off. Cyber Gurus will develop
noses like werewolves to sniff out and target the unsuspecting
who are now paying less attention to every penny. If that does
not work to their blood sucking satisfaction, they will join
forces with #3 because ...

3 - The world is going to end in unprecedented disaster:

Scary monsters will creep out of cyberspace, frightening us half
witless with dire prophecies for 2012. They will cite
predictions from long dead people who did not survive THEIR
disasters. And, they can PROVE it, too!

NASA will come out every once in a while to debunk these
"scientific" predictions, but will put into their disclaimer
that earth WILL line up with the center of the galaxy on that
date, thus ... anything can and may happen. Heck, there may be
a survivor who has a right to sue.

4 - Unemployment will go down:

But, hell, not as far down as wages and the standard of living
have gone. That's so far down in the bottomless pit that it
would take years to get an echo if you were to scream into it.
(Take lunch) So, let's be happy and count our blessings or
else.

5 - People who lost all will get back into their homes:

Not necessarily as posh as the old abode used to be, but hey …
Now that you've spent some time on the streets, in your car or
on a friends/relatives couch ... you will sure appreciate the
shack you can now afford to live in. (See #4)

4 - All-in-all 2012 will be a good year to scare people enough
to leave us poorer when 2013 arrives. Or dead, if it doesn't.
In the meantime it has managed to make us feel better about
ourselves and how fortunate we really are. Yippeeee!

So, does it really matter what year it is? What's new?

What if you felt inspired to

Be More Playful?

Imagine how much abundance

would start to flow into your life!

Being playful and playing as an adult is so much fun, but most of us have been trained out of it. We've learned to be more serious, to put work ahead of everything else. But at what "cost" to us emotionally and energetically?

We have learned to give up play because playing, so goes adult theory, is for children and frivolous people who aren't serious about getting ahead.

Well, guess what - this isn't true. Playing is for everyone, even serious people... and play will actually increase your abundance!

When we want to successfully attract abundance into our lives, we need to find ways to do two things:

(1) Reduce our resistance (emotional and energetic), and

(2) Raise our vibration

When we play, we instantly reduce resistance

AND raise our vibration... which means that we are

opening the energetic door to abundance.

So are you willing to Be More Playful? Other "upsides" to playing more are obvious - we have more fun and I believe we are more fun to be around when we decide to Be More Playful. But it took my "getting" that Being More Playful would help me attract abundance before I was able to let down my "work hard" philosophy and use playing to my advantage.

Some of you are naturally more playful than others. While I love a good sense of humor and find humor in so much of life's contrasts and challenges, I'm not that good at actually playing... so I've put it on my list for 2012. (See what I mean? I have to put "play" on my to do list!)

So stop the struggle,

Be More Playful,

and watch abundance

show up for you.

Why should you consider my invitation to Be More Playful? I've given you several good reasons already. But I bet you have some "yes, buts" or some resistance to letting down your guard. If you make the effort to Be More Playful you will enjoy the following benefits:

(1) You will very quickly have more fun every day

(2) You will release emotional resistance

(3) You will raise your energetic vibration

(4) You will feel more relaxed

(5) You will access more of your innate creativity

(6) You will become more resourceful, and definitely more successful

In addition, if you agree to Be More Playful, you will get the attention of the Universe... you will communicate that you have trust and faith that abundance is on its way, that you have time to play, that you know that playing is good for you.

It's up to you - you can either fall back on your "yes, buts" of fear, worry and beliefs such as "I have to work hard to get ahead" etc, or you can trust the experiments I've done with myself and others and start to Be More Playful. Don't take my word for it, start your own personal experiment about how the vibration of play helps you attract more abundance into your life.

There are nothing but advantages and positive consequences when you start to Be More Playful... I can't think of a single "downside" to making the effort to do this.... IF and only IF you want more abundance to flow into your life. So ask yourself, do you want much more abundance to flow into your life? If your answer is "yes" then get started by feeling inspired to Be More Playful.

Remember that our thoughts are real

and carry energy...

Our vibration matters!

It's your choice...

Get inspired to Be More Playful

and enjoy the successes that start to flow

into your life!

While tapping the karate chop spot on either hand, repeat these phrases out loud, (or change the words to fit your exact situation).

Hi Everyone!

WELCOME to all of our new subscribers, this week! We truly
appreciate you! "Trade Journal Subscribers ROCK!"

In spite of all the dire predictions out there for 2012, I'm
welcoming the New Year. In fact, I feel all brand new.

I'll spare you the boring details, but after a month of computer
problems, my 6-year-old Toshiba Tecra finally took its final
bow on December 27th. I was grateful it chose to make its exit
during a week of great sales on computers!

Since then, every day is an adventure. A lot of things change
in six years. Every program I've replaced is a new version.

So add new brand of computer (Samsung), new operating system
(Win7) and all new program versions, and that equals my learning
curve being more like a corkscrew. Moving from MS Office 2003
to 2010 is, in itself, a huge leap!

I'll never again buy a computer that will last six years.
That's too long. In six years, everything changes too much. I
had no idea I was missing so much speed, power and smoothness -
and so many lovely programs!

In any event, I should do better now with my weekly publishing
schedule. I was missing too many weeks while I was trying to
keep the old computer out of the bone yard.

The year 2011 was one most of us would like to forget. It had
an unusually high number of disasters worldwide. And,
unfortunately, I'm not reading much in the way of positive
predictions for 2012. But, then, predictions are just someone's
opinions. I suspect with all the natural disasters of 2011, we
tended to overlook what little progress we ARE making.

The economy in the USA IS a little better. Our unemployment
rate HAS dropped a little. Heck, they even managed to repair a
major bridge here in my little corner of the world. We need to
keep in mind that every little bit helps. What we focus on
increases, so it would be a good idea to try to stay positive.
(Easier said than done, I know.)

Not everything from my dead computer has been recovered yet, so
I'm missing some material I need for the newsletters. For
instance I don't have a single joke. I'll snag one off the Web
for today, but I'd sure appreciate it if y'all could send me
your favorites.

I highly recommend this article by Will Bontrager. It begins:

"Your .htaccess file can be used to redirect traffic from search
engines to a thief's web site.

If your site has been hacked in this way, then when someone
finds you in a search engine and clicks on a link to go to your
site, they are taken to the thief's site, instead.

The links in the search result go to your site, just like

What if you could relax and

Assume Your Success Is Coming?

Imagine how much abundance

would start to flow into your life!

We usually think of what might happen that's negative, we prepare for the worst, and we often get something we don't want! But you have the power and ability to Assume Your Success Is Coming and reap the benefits of this shift in energy. Whenever we feel empowered to make an energy shift, a change in manifestation and physical success shows up.

I know some of you won't think this is that easy to Assume Your Success Is Coming - but it's simple, and each of us can do it in an instant, if we want to try an experiment that will manifest success into our lives. Ready? Here are the simple linear steps below that will help you to accomplish this:

1. First you need to have a clear and comprehensive image of your success - What does it feel like now that you have it? What will it sound like when it arrives? How will it look when you have it?

2. Then you need to identify your fears about making this kind of assumption so you know what needs to be cleared - (what I call the "yes, but" energy).

3. Then you need to go ahead and clear your fears about making this assumption (enter EFT exercises) and...

4. Then you need to relax and Assume Your Success Is Coming which involves adopting new feelings, behaviors and attitudes that line up with this assumption.

So stop the struggle,

Assume Your Success Is Coming,

and watch abundance show up for you.

Why should you consider making an energy shift to Assume Your Success Is Coming? Because acting as if your success is on its way mobilizes your energy in a huge way. It gets you ready and poised to receive what you want. It communicates to the Universe that you know, believe, and expect that your desire is on it's way. It communicates faith that the Universe is watching out for you, and most importantly, it allows you to relax, reduce resistance, and raise your vibration.

Let's get more detailed about these simple steps I'm recommending:

Step 1 -- Form a very clear visual and physical image of your success. So, right now, either in your mind or on paper, sketch out what your "success" (choose only one at a time) looks like to you - what will you look like, what will your life look like, add any visuals that seem important. How will it feel when you have it? What will be different in your life when you have it? This creates a "memory" in your mind that can now be manifested. Use colors, pictures, textures, visions, physical feelings - anything that forms a picture of this particular success you want. (Again, only use one success at a time with this techinque.)

Step 2 -- List the fears you notice about making this assumption - write them down. Ask yourself, what might be a "downside" of Assuming Your Success Is Coming? Does it feel awkward or fake to you? Are you afraid you might jinx it? And how does it serve you to protect yourself by refusing to make this energetic assumption? What are the "upsides" to not making this assumption? Are you afraid to get your hopes up?

Step 3 -- Clear these fears ("yes, buts") with EFT (see tap-along exercise listed and spelled out for you below). Once we know what fears or emotional and energetic blocks we have, then we can use simple versions of EFT to clear them out of our energy system, and then the path will be clear to manifest our goal.

Step 4 -- Relax and allow yourself to Assume Your Success Is Coming. This means you'll need to make the assumption, check for any more resistance and tap on remaining tension. This means you'll need to "act as if" your success is on its way, and it means you need to stop "checking" for it. This means you'll need to stop complaining that it's not here yet... and you'll need to adopt a posture (emotionally and physically) of knowing and believing it's coming!

I can hear some of you saying... "But this is just one of those pretending exercises again... do they really work?" This question falls into the category of identifying what fears or blocks you have to doing this exercise.

I'll tell you my personal and professional experience - these "pretending exercises" work magic because they move your energy! They move energy, lower your resistance, raise your vibration, and communicate a clear message to the Universe - and we want all of that to be happening if we are going to manifest new successes in our lives.

Remember, your system doesn't know the difference

between simply imagining success or experiencing success -

your brain experiences these two options in the

same way -- as reality.

There are nothing but advantages and positive consequences when you start to Assume Your Success Is Coming. I can't think of a single "downside" to making the effort to do this.... IF and only IF you want more abundance to flow into your life. So ask yourself, do you want much more abundance to flow into your life? If your answer is "yes" then start by feeling inspired to Assume Your Success Is Coming.

Remember that our thoughts are real

and carry energy...

Our vibration matters!

Remember that the Universe hears your vibration not your words. The principles of the Law of Attraction remind us that we will receive more of what we are "broadcasting" to the Universe when we are in alignment with it. What always shows up before the actual abundance appears in your life is a high vibration - one of optimism, joy, gratitude or appreciation. When the Universe is able to receive a clear signal or message from you - (no energetic interference from your attitudes) then the Law of Attraction starts to work in your favor.

It's your choice...
